It's really cold!

SANTA IS COMING TO TOWN and that's why we're so cold! It's suppose to be at Christmas time! The first picture is in front of the Victorian House on Second Street directly behind MY FRIENDS AND I. It's so cute. Make sure you go by and see it. The next picture shows another shot of Mission Peak and the trees that still have fall color and the next ones are what I saw when I walked out the front door yesterday morning. My husband Frank was sweet enough to come out in the cold and squirt water on my car to get the ice off it. We are so spoiled here. My Daughters in IL. and CO. just laugh when they hear about our cold weather. Remember to click on the picture to make bigger.

Baby it's cold outside!

REMEMBER that Christmas Song? Well if you look close you can just see Mission Peak in the distance and the hills next to it in the next picture. I didn't get very close in these shots but you get the idea. It may be cold outside, but it's toasty and warm in MY FRIENDS AND I and we still have lots of shopping days left till Christmas. Come on in and see the wonderful decorations and gifts we have in stock.

December 1st already!

WHERE the heck did this year go? I know from talking to people that they feel the same way.
We still have the great big red cup drawing going on, in fact we stuffed some more stuff in it. You can still enter by coming in the shop or by leaving a comment on this blog. It's worth it. There's some pretty cute stuff in it. Check it out.

When leaving the store at closing this evening I was in awe at what I saw in the sky. The moon was just peeking over the hills and it was almost dark. It was such beautiful site. I had to call my kids in IL. and tell them they were looking at the same moon I was, made me feel closer to them.

It rained on our parade!

THE WEATHER wasn't the greatest, but the crowd still turned out. We had a good time watching the annual Parade of Lights Friday night. Suan from Les Belles Antiques had her little light up reindeer antlers on and helped to keep folks off the street during the parade. Note Santa on the float, he had his umbrella handy.
One of our customers came in shopping and tried on the little hat you see in the last picture. It looked so cute on her, but she resisted and didn't buy it, so it's still available.
These were taken with my new camera, hopefully I'll get better!

After Thanksgiving in Niles

The 3 days after Thanksgiving is open house time for the shops in Niles. Most are decorated and are full of wonderful, unique items that you won't find at the malls. MY FRIENDS AND I dealers are all having some kind of SALE in their booths and will have signs posted to let you know what they have on sale.
If you come on Friday, I suggest you come early, park some chairs on the sidewalk and shop during the day. Then stay for the Spectacular light parade that starts at 6:00 pm. It's a Niles Friday after Thanksgiving tradition. Can't come on Friday then make sure you come on Saturday or Sunday and have a fun, relaxing shopping experience. Don't fight the crowds, come shop NILES!
